Bombora’s inflatable life vest PFD belts are United States Coast Guard Approved Type III PFDs (personal flotation devices). Our Super Belts are 24g – these inflate to a full, traditional life jacket design. Perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, and inland boating and fishing, our PFDs are non-restrictive and provide a more comfortable and cool fit than bulky, foam life jackets but provide full safety. The manual pull-cord activates a CO2 gas cartridge and inflates the belt.

How to Measure
Measure your waist
Wrap a soft tape measure around your natural waist — just above your hip bones. Note the measurement in inches.
Or measure your chest
Place the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor. Either measurement works.
Check your fit
If your measurement falls between 30" and 52", the Super Belt will fit you. The buckle adjusts in seconds.
Fits most adults comfortably
The adjustable buckle system accommodates sizes 30"–52". If you're between sizes, size up for a more comfortable fit over a wetsuit or thick clothing.
How It Works
Strap
Bring belt around waist, pack facing front, buckle and tighten.
Pull
Pull on the red tab to inflate.
Float
You can rearm your belt with a CO2 cartridge to reuse.

I agree with everyone who says how well they fit and become something you forget you have on. I have to admit one night my curiosity of wanting to see one inflate got to me, so I jumped in and pulled the cord. Wow. It was really cool and within seconds I was floating with a comfortable life jacket on that more than easily kept me up.
